Here are answers to the questions we receive most often before visitors book blueberry picking at Hirotsu Farm.
Do I need a reservation for blueberry picking?
Yes. Blueberry picking at Hirotsu Farm is by reservation only. Please select your preferred date from the booking calendar on the top page.
Can I cancel or change my reservation?
Yes. You can cancel or change your reservation anytime before your scheduled visit. There is no cancellation fee. Please contact us using the email address in your confirmation email.
Can I make a reservation on the same day?
Yes, same-day reservations are available if there is space. However, the number of visitors is limited each day, so we recommend booking in advance.
Can I go blueberry picking if it rains?
We may remain open in light rain. However, we may close in the event of severe weather.
What should I wear or bring?
We recommend comfortable clothing and walking shoes, as you will be walking through the fields. Long sleeves, long pants, and insect repellent are also recommended. During hot weather, please bring a hat and drinking water.
How long can I enjoy blueberry picking?
Your visit includes 90 minutes of blueberry picking. Enjoy picking and eating fresh, ripe blueberries during your stay.
What are your opening hours?
We are open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The last admission is at 3:30 PM.
Can I take home the blueberries I pick?
Yes. Blueberries you pick yourself can be taken home for ¥200 per 100g.
Do you sell fresh blueberries?
Yes. Fresh blueberries harvested at our farm are available for ¥350 per 100g. If you would like a larger quantity, please contact us in advance.
Is blueberry picking suitable for young children?
Yes. Families are welcome. Children of elementary school age or younger should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Where can I park?
Please use Saikaibashi Park as your destination. There are several parking areas, but the parking lot above the grass sledding slope is the best landmark. After parking, follow the signs and flags. The blueberry field is about a 3–5 minute walk away.

Welcome to HIROTSU Blueberry PYO (pick-your-own) farm, located in Saikai-city, Nagasaki.
Our farm is near Sasebo-city and next to Saikai-bridge.

This season’s mandarin orange picking has now ended. Thank you very much to everyone who visited us.
Fresh mandarins are still available for purchase on site. If you wish to buy them, please contact us in advance before coming.
You can pick and enjoy the sweet and delicious oranges, which are a specialty of Seikai City.
Varieties: Early and mid-season feature the Haraguchi oranges born in Seikai City, and late season features the Ishiji oranges.
